Three recipients of “Longtruk Grant for the Art Project 2020” to present “A Verse on Uncomposed Surface: A Gathering of Becoming Stories” exhibition
Come explore the intricate relationship between “identities” and “differences” through the “stories” conceived by the three emerging artists of the exhibition titled “A Verse on Uncomposed Surface: A Gathering of Becoming Stories.” curated by Paaroon Chuprasert. Featuring a variety of visual artworks curated with an interdisciplinary approach, the exhibition aims to bring structural change to Thai society, politics and history.
The exhibition is part of the “Longtruk Grant for the Art Project 2020,” organized by Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts & Culture in collaboration with the Art Centre Silpakorn University, Blackout Collective and JITR Collective and officially supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Thailand. The project welcomed artists under the age of 25 to create research-based artworks in a curatorial program with the aim of linking people with communities and society at large. Three emerging artists were selected as the grant recipients, namely Krittaporn Mahaweerarat, Nanut Thanapornrapee and Thapong Srisai, and received one-on-one guidance from three seasoned Taiwanese artists, namely Yeh Wei Li, Hsu Chia Wei and Lo Shih Tung. The online conversations, organized against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, offered an opportunity of artistic exchange between both parties.
“A Verse on Uncomposed Surface: A Gathering of Becoming Stories” will be on display free of charge from March 6 to April 10, 2021, Monday-Friday, 9:00-16:00 hrs. (except for public holidays) at the EX SPACE – Art Centre Silpakorn University, Sanamchandra Campus, Nakhon Pathom
